I am the Hobie dealer here in New Mexico. Every Spring, I take the top of the line Hobie fishing kayak and rig it with the best of everything, to make it the most awesome kayak on the lake. Then, come Fall, I discount it big time and sell it off to a very happy new owner. I call it the "Owner's Hobie Special." This year, I took the new "360 degree" peddle kayak and outfitted it with a Garmin Echomap Ultra 106sv Fishfinder (this Garmin by itself is over $2,000) and a MotorGuide Xi3 Kayak Trolling Motor (bow mounted) that has Spot Lock! Included: Dakota Lithium trolling motor battery and lots of accessories. You would be shocked at the total price if you built out this kayak! Go to hobie.com and check out Pro Angler 14 -360. Among the photos is one showing a list of items and prices (before the trailer was added).

OK, so you will see this kayak and fall in love. With all that is on it, how would you transport it? You will need a trailer. Surprise, Surprise... I built out the perfect trailer for it, too! A Trailex Kayak Trailer with an installed thick sheet of plywood that was water treated and covered with indoor/outdoor carpeting so the kayak will slide on and off easily. Hobie PA's like being stored on flat surfaces. Then, I added a winch to make it simple to pull up when lake waters get low and you have an incline to get it on. Finally, I added a front wheel that can raise and lower onto the vehicle's towing ball easy and when off the ball be moved easy as well.
Come see it at Zia Kayak Outfitters, 310 Rock Canyon Rd., Elephant Butte, NM 87935. Feel free to call to be certain it is still available before making the drive. Call Russ at show contact info
